ok my tanks water seems to be a little yellow, wat do i do? i want clarity

Do you use bogwood? The tannin in that can stain the water a tea colour but will go in time

YES SIR!!! :)

ph 6 or lower
ammonia 0.25-0.50
nitrate NO2 0-0.25
nitrate NO3 160 UP

pretty bad..

black angel i have had the drift wood for about 5 months already, got it same time with the tank

I suggest a 30% water change every other day for a week... or until the stats get to a good level..... and hope your fish make it... 160 for nitrates!?! wow...

Yea, those are realy bad, unless the test kit is not good ? giving wrong readings

my fish are still swimming, they like the water slightly acidic, and the nitrate doesnt directly harm them unless its been high for a long time, wich it hasnt

blue gourami(2)
gold gourami (1)
4 gold barbs
2 rosy barbs

55gallon tank

A usual ph to get for acidic liking fish is about 6.8 to 7.2
i use liveaquaria.com :/

atleast with that high nitrate number, i could buy some plants and have em grow pretty nicely :)

They will take the ammonia before the nitrate.

:good:

cool
nice tetra, i had 2 of em b4 in a smaller tank, some parasite came in that go into there scale, killed it, sukd the blood, u could see the poor fishes vains i guess they were, and the fins were all spikey looking, was so sad, bloodshot eyes, gruesome
