I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 black/silver mollies, 1 female betta, 2 african dwarf frogs, and a few ghost shrimp. Also, I have one large bunch of hornwort plant and two of red ludwigia. My tank water has been turning yellow-ish. Is it because of the plants? The fish have been picking off the leaves of the red ludwigia, and they just settle to the bottom (undergravel filtration system) so maybe that's the problem? Once in a while I fish out the leaves. And the red ludgigia seem to be 'wilting' because my room is pretty dark....

i'd reccomend in a small tank like your not too have live plants. but it may be something else if i were you i'd do a water cahnge and tell us what happens then

Have you got any drift wood in there? Is so, it could be tanins leaching out of the wood. Plant material shouldn't make your water turn yellow.

it could be wood or more than often it's a build of urine in the water.

Like every one else has said do weekly water changes of 20% and that should help.
