I hope i'm posting this in the right forum!! I think this fish is in the Cichlidae family.

I was looking at fish on liveaquaria.com and found a description of a yellow marlboro discus. I put a link to the page below. Does anyone have any additional info they can give me? I'd like to have one of these! I have a 55 gallon tank which currently houses 3 endler's, 6 assorted dwarf gouramis, 2 dalmation mollies and about 6 assorted platies. This link said this discus could be housed in a minimum of 50 gallons and ideal tankmates included livebearers and gouramis.

I understand they are very sensitive to water, and that's OK. I monitor my water daily. I don't plan on breeding them either.

What's your opinion? Good fish to get? I could move some of the fish out of my 55 if needed (i'd imagine they'd eat the endlers anyway). Should they be kept in pairs or in a school?

THANKS EVERYONE! :D

Discus are south american (new world) cichlids, moved to the correct forum :)

Marlboro Yellow disucs? never seen one myself....

...anyway, Discus do good in group of at 4+, anything lower than that and the fish will either shy away, or get bullied. My advise would be to not get them, and go for some other fish, like rams
