Yellow Labs

If your talking general community, the labs would be fine, its the other fish you'd need to worry about. Labs may not be the most aggressive Mbuna but commnity fish they ain't! Sorry

metfan I wouldn't try it with the fish you got in there now You'd need to remove some of the fish. Labs are def not a community fish but I've heard people having them in a comunity tank it just depends on which fish you add I geuss.

Hi Metfan,

Unfortunately not, labs working successfully in community tanks is extremely rare. They are just too aggressive.

Rams should be OK though, i don't see a problem with your existing fish.

cheers guys ;)

There is a guy local to me selling some and i just wondered if they could go in our community tank for a while untill we got chance to alter a setup for them...

oh well. :)

my only advice would be to try it out, learn from experience, not all fish are alike, you may get lucky or you might have to rush the set-up for them

If the labs are small and they won't be in the community tank long, you might be OK, if full grown, definately not.

Hope this helps

Do't bother till you have a tank, something could happen and you might not get the tank setup while cichlids grow very fast, plus labs are comon you won't have problems finding them later be patient and do some research whiole you wait
