Hey guys.

In my tank I currently stock 1 x Pseudotropheus Pindani, 1 x Red Zebra, 5 x Pseudotropheus Elongatus (with 3 Juvis), 5 x Labidochromis Electric Yellows, 5 x Melanochromis Mainganos.

My Pseudo Elongatus have bred, and there are 4 juvi's in my tank for what I can see.
One of my Yellow Labs has a mouthful of eggs.

You can see the tank + pics at this thread:

The question I am asking is... will the baby yellow labs survive? I know a few of the juvi pseudo's have. I am not sure if I want to sell them all yet or keep them, depends on how many there are. The thing I am most concerned about is the health and safety of the fish. I am very limited with what I have, and don't have any other tanks to place the mother or babies in.

Please let me know what you guys think.

I was going to put her into this tank:

But fear that the stress may effect her and the tank itself may not be up to par. So what I did was make a custom breeding net (because the ones at the LFS are too small).
I am pretty happy with it, I used one of those plastic tub carrier things you get from discount stores, and siliconed some bug mesh to the sides. Hopefully the Juvi's will like it in this until they're old enough to sell. :)

Very good idea. Just make sure it floats first!! Lol.

You may have to stick some polystyrene cubes around the edges so it floats?

Also if you are going to put the holding females in the tub you may want to put something over the top as they can jump out of the tubs, as I learned to my dismay.
