Yellow Lab... Big Mouth

i bought a yellow lab yesterday... an i noticed it has a bump on the underside of its chin

what isit... it doesnt lok like the others... its slightyl bigger that the other labs

she isnt eating atall... but shes only 2 and a half inches long ??

im not even sure its a she

if she is holding i duno what to do, and she hasnt revealed any fry

Dont worry about it. She'll hold for a while yet. normally 4 weeks. If you can, put her in tank by herself so she doesnt get chased.

They can get weak as they dont eat for over 4 weeks, but its a totally natural process. If its her first time she may release them by mistake too early and/or eat them.

Just keep an eye on her and as soon as she releases them try and do what you can to keep them or let them fight for survival...

if the black line on the anal fin is faint and it looks like there chin is bulging then it is more than likely a female holding plenty of hiding spaces should be fine for her and the fry congratulations i loved it when mine started breeding now i cant get them to stop

shes the biiggest in there... with 6 young psuedos and 3 other labs

i dont think they will breed after this though as i own syno multie... if you know your cichlids.. youl know why this is a problem

the black bit has faded abit on her anal fin...she seems to stay at low levels in the tank

i dont know what you mean by a bulgy fin???
