Its blurry looking at the tank. Its hard to see. The fish (except my yellow gourami) are easy to spot while my frogs are a pain to find.. Help?
I dont get it, how can i stop it? I replaced the filter cartriage today.. thought that'd work but didn't.

.__.? Help appreciated.

29g tank, Aqua Tech filter btw.

Ill try.:) Thanks ALOT! I almost killed my frog from this water condition! ): I was full cleaning the tank cause the green didnt go away and I didnt know what to do. Caught all my fish except ONE frog. ): After about 20% water left, I told my mom to shine the lights over the tank and I found this little blob in the middle. :) scooped up the frog with my hand and wooh! I could finally clean the gravel w/o worrying 'bout hitting the frog.. >__>

Green water is not very nice for you to look at but it doesn't hurt the fish. It is even used as a tonic by some breeders for fish that are healthy but not thriving. Do not get too excited about it but instead know that you have all the time in the world to deal with it without worrying about the fish. I intentionally grow green water in one of my tanks to feed daphnia. There are fish in that tank that are quite nice and are thriving but are a bit hard to find. The water is that green. The way I grow tons of green water is to have fish providing the fertilizer, their wastes, and to provide much more light than on any other tank. If you want to get rid of green water limit the light or, as suggested, use a blackout. Thorough gravel vacs will remove much of the nutrients that the green water algae need to survive. The final solution to green water that works every time is a UV sterilizer but that is an expensive way to go and is usually not needed.
