I bought a gourami from LFS a month ago. It was sold to me as a "dwarf honey" but it has the spots like a 3 spot gourami.

So my question is do dwarf or honey or any other species ever have 3 spots.

As an aside, it has been peacefully living with my other two dwarf gouramis.

Size and photo would help. It is unusual for honey and dwarf gouramis to have three spots, from what I have seen, but I wouldn't class it as impossible.

Honey and Dwarf Gouramis do not have spots, not impossible as kat said. There is also no spotted yellow gourami, closest thing is the Gold Gourami. If you say its got 3 spots then the only thing it could be is a 3 Spot Gourami.

it could well be a honey, with a patchy lateral line. As above get a pic.
