Hey all, I have a 25 gallon aquarium with about 15 pounds of live rock. I have 2 false percula clownfish, and 1 purple pseudochromis in there right now. I wanted to get a yellow clown goby, well actually I wanted to get two to try and breed them. What confuses me is I read that they will kill there own specias, but they are easy to breed in home aquariums :/ . My lfs has 2 of them in the same tank, do you think I could buy both of them at the same time without any problems? Has anyone ever tried to breed them?

Some people would think 4 fish in a 25 is just about full. I think 5 could be done but you'd need sufficient filtration

You need to bump your LR up to 25-40lbs IMO, i don't think 15lbs of LR could support 5 fish
If you do add more LR make sure it is fully cured as you've Livestock in the tank already

Oh yeah I am gradually getting it. I dont want to get it all at the same time, because it gives me time to think of how I want it set up. I will probably have to do some rearranging because my tank seems like it wont be able to fit anymore, but my landscaping, or seascaping is not that great :( . So would you say hold off on the fish for now? I just thought clown gobies would be ok because they only get about 1.5 inches.

IMO i think you'd be safer to wait until you have more filtration but i've only been in this a few months now :*)

I'd wait to see what opinions everyone else have to offer

More LR for starters :)

You could use go with a skimmer but in a small tank it would be a bit of an eye-sore unless you have a sump?
