Yeaaaa!!!.Ithought I saw my Otos having a good time a few dayes ago,now i have got these teeny weeny little fry in my tank.Idid wonder what they were ay first,but after a moment or two I realised what they were/
They are acting just like the parents,keeping to the bottom of the tank and on the glass
I haven`t anything to put them in yet ,so they will most likely get eaten
The tank has only been set up about seven weeks.so it is a bit of a suprise.

Congratulations! Even if they do get eaten, it speaks well of your tank, they must be happy!

unfortuneatly clown loach and bala sharks don't breed in captivity (not without hormonal help.. )

I know how you feel, my big tank has turned into something of a 'knocking shop' in the last moth with my angels, my bristlenose and my shrimps all breeding......it makes me feel like a dad! Congratulations!

Well Iwent out and bought a small Pen Plax tank,just incase there were any Fry left when I got home.Icouldnt see any I did fall for a Siamese Fighter when I was in the shop.as it was Pets at Home I resisted the impulse,he was super though! he was the only one at the front of the tank,and you could see he just wanted to come home with me.
Hmm!!! Thinks I have got an empty tank now

Hi pseud,Ihave a Fluval Duo Deep 800.I think it holds about 30uk Gallons.
Last time I tested my ph it was 7.2.Nitrates 20+(They come out of the tap quite high here).
Ihave Bog wood ,it makes the water a bit brown,but the fish dont seem to mind.Also a few real plants.
Anything else you want to know???.

just as an aside silvber lady if you want to get rid of the brownish tinge to the water, fish out the wood and boil it for a few hours! that willmake the tanins leech out much faster, and then as u change water the tnak will cler as hopefully no more tannins will come out. I belive the tannins arent dangerouse at all, but some people me inculded find it a little unsightly
