Yay! Our New Bgk!

We just got the lil thing tonight and I'm already in love with it!
I know the people at the petstore must think I'm crazy b/c I was going on about how its face looked like a puppy's lol.
It's so adorable!

Hopefully will get some better photos once it has settled some. Really hope it finds a nice spot in one of the easier spots to get to to make feeding easier lol.

I had one up until earlier this week, lovely fish. Never had any problems with it. Love the way they move, it will be a great addition to your tank.

I'm really looking forward to watching it grow I know it'll be slow though so I won't notice heh.
It's so small right now. From nose to tip of the tail, it's about 3-4 inches long.
I just really hope there won't be too much trouble feeding it.

Well, our little fella or miss has found itself a home inside of the castle.... *squeeeeeeeee* It's so cute! I swear I don't go bonkers like this for anything except my dog Cid lol
It keeps popping its head in and out of the opening. Still not confident enough to come out fully in search of food I guess heh.
I took the turkey baster and put some of the flake and shrimp pellet parts in to the castle opening, so hopefully it'll eat. I'm sure it'll go crazy for some bloodworms tonight
And hoping that the ghost shrimp we bought will multiply quickly so we can give those as treats as well Or might just buy more to toss in the tank now *shrugs* We'll see.

Our little guy hasn't come out of the castle yet lol. It's like the dragon that lives in the tunnels under the castle lol

OOO We got more ghost shrimp today, along with some brine shrimp eggs. Can't wait to hatch the BS and start giving our fish live food.

I really hope it gets more comfy to at least start coming out during feeding.
It'll pop its head in and out of the castle during feeding, but won't come out.

Just wanted to do a quick update and say that our BGK is starting to come out of it's castle now! YAY! It goes to the wood behind the castle but hey, that's something at least.
It also wiggles about and searches for food whenever I get near the tank. SO freakin adorable!! Watched it earlier digging its nose in to the sand looking for food... *squeeeeeeeeee*

Good 4u i love these beautys and have through some times as i had 2 & im on my 3rd
Feeding them natural food is best,actually only once i have ever feed them flakes i think he swallowed it be accident!! Lol
since u know wer the dragon lives in that castle only have the food dropped there, he'll come out from time 2 time 2 get some food as u probably hav discovered its baby steps!!
what tank hav u got him in a 240 is perfect i had all my bgks in it!! Theyll get stressed & die if u dont give him enough space
Heres a good tip to trick them turn the light on & off frequently so he can have a balance once u think he has it will be awesome to se him swimmin arourd like24/7
