A week ago i put my 3 albinos into a 10 gal with hope of breeding them eventually...not expecting it so soon

Well this morning they spawned :hyper: :good: and there was me thinking the male probably wouldn't be ready has he is third of the size compared to the females

One female still looks eggy,so whether they'll do some more...

I've put around 50 eggs into the net at the moment, they look fertile, but some do look suspect,so will keep an eye on them.

Here's some pics of eggs

Most of the eggs were hidden in this top corner, you can just make them out behind the strip themometer.there is a lot of glare on the tank...

wish i had a spare tank to do this in  thinking of splitting my 5gal with my betta in to grow mine when they hatch

looking good :good: congrats! no idea how many ive got atm definately a good few some are still hatching, just hope i can keep them all alive and well

Thanks :good:

Good luck with yours also :) yep the hardest part is rearing them

how are the fry doing? mine seem to be doing fine :good: got a whole 5gal to themselves now

My 50+ have a whole 10 gal

Well my albinos have spawned again this morning
Around 120 eggs dotted around 3 corners and on thermometer,so i have returned the adults to the main tank for now and left eggs in situ :)

Here's short videos of them spawning

Here is the other female eating eggs while t'other one is spawning

i did catch them in T position just waiting for it to upload :good:

I'm glad yours are doing well stubert :good:

ah wow nice vids :good:

would love for mine to spawn again  hopefully soon

do you do anything inparticular to get yours to spawn? or do they just do it?

How are they doing?

Mine are doing great, all active now, they are everywhere too many to count, actually look like corys now aswell! Hope not too many die

Thanks :)

I don't do anything in particular to trigger them,i did feed them bloodworm in the evening for a few nights.and done 20% w/c...

Then bingo

The 2nd lot of eggs are starting to disappear,i think they're either hatching or dropping down in the water.
I've spotted a few of the original fry,but they're so hard to see against the sand,i have to check the water tubs for fry before i throw the water out,i manage to suck up around 20 this evening

They're more active now and i can see them wiggling around up the glass :)

I'm glad yours are doing well :good:

Its not uncommon for fry to die, just part of the course i suppose...its not nice to lose some but i suppose thats why they lay so many eggs.

Yeh i did a big water change before mine spawned thought it coulda had something to do with it :good:

Funny things to watch, my tank looks like it itself is alive can just see wiggling everywhere :hyper:

Getting a 10 gallon this week to transfer them into soon, unless i have a mass wipe out any time soon 5gal wont be big enough.

keep me updated :good:

 i do like to watch them wiggle around

Well it looks like the majority of them hatched, theres around 20 eggs still on the back on the tank, which look infertile.

So rough count on the eggs i reckon i must have 100-150 fry in there,i know nature will play a part and all won't survive, but if they do i'll have to rethink on tank size

I was wondering where they were all hiding, has i lifted the bogwood and only the older ones were under there, then i lifted up the box filter and had a mass of pink bodies shoot out :hyper: thats where they were

I hope yours continue to thrive :good: let me know how they go :)

I will try to get a pic,but don't hold out much hope against them showing being pink and on light sand

Here's a video of the wee fry,you can just make out the dots zipping around

Ignore the vid after 1.45 has i forgot to turn camera off
