hello all!

after visiting my cousin yesterday and saw his new 60 ltr tank i just happened to mension that aldi sell fish tanks that are 5..2 litres? and anyway they said to watch when it comes into the catalog. that sounds good! so hopefully i may be upgrading! yay!

i am planning on having honey gouramis, some ottos/catfish and a shoal of some sort. any other suggestions are welcome.
sticking with sand, planning on having more live plants and perhaps some bigger bogwood or a log in with some plants attached or behind it.

all suggestions welcome x any good fish suitable or any decor or info on tank totaly welcome.

nooo sorry i think its 52 litres, i was just guessing that it was 52, i no its 50 sumthing litres but not 100% if its 52, sorry if that wasnt clear

oh sorry thats how i type too, kinda thinking out loud lol.. i noticed we have an Aldi near where i live today ( just moved here) so ill have a look out too its a nice size and they are about £60 for a setup in pets at home

just looked and its a 54ltr tank lol x yeh! x any ideas when it might come on? last time it was near christmas...so i might have a long wait

hmm but good news always comes with bad news, just gone upstairs to find my otto sucking the dead body of my 'missing' tetra. and my last cory more or less dead. im not sure whats killing them all though, i think it might be some bacterial disease...?
they start of with not swimming around usually anymore then after a few days they cant swim and will sit on the bottom, then after a few more days they will start to completly loose balance and turn on one side, but try to keep swimming around at the bottom, they loose colour, then die. its not nice to see but i have lost 11 fish to it. i had 3 ottos lost, 3 honey gouramis, 3 neon tetras and 2 corys. iv have left 5 neon tetras and 2 platys. i am leaving the amount of fish in and hope that it is ok and dont lose anymore, if im planning on a new tank with new stock then i need to not buy anymore in the next few months, even if things clear up.

what about

a breeding pair of paradise fish
a shoal of corys maybe 4-5

if you go with this idea dont get any other fish as they may be able to eat fry

the funniest thing i ever seen in fish keeping was, i used to breed bettas unsuccessful tho i only got them to the fry with sac stage) anyway, when they were young they used to sink to the bottom and shoot up to the top as fast as torpedoes and doing like 360 turns on the way up lol so cute
