I bought this recently off another member, the brown bits are apparently its ''root system'' But i have no idea about mosses so i wouldn't know. I'm not too fond of it anyhow and replaced it with weeping moss as i become too impatient to wait for it to grow out. This is just sitting in a tub atm so grab it quick. There is a very nice amount too

was going to say it is good moss lol, mine has now started to grow out, without co2 and ive just added a diy co2 and its growing better then ever. My moss wall is starting to weep looking very good. soryr it didnt work out to well for you mate.
