its a singing competition where each week the gropu gets smaller and smaller till theres one winner... not my cup of tea but lots of people like it and its popular here its like PopIdol

Basically lots of people who can't sing publicly sing whilst women watch in rapt attention and their husbands sit there bored rigid, desperately wishing they could afford more than one TV.

Without wishing to seem sexist, the reason this is getting such a strong response from the blokes on the forum is because a) we have more taste than our womenfolk and consequently b) we'd sooner be anywhere else than in front of our TV right now.
