I have a group of 10 x-ray tetras and noticed that one of them has what looks like a red inflammation on its underbelly towards the back end. The best way to explain it is that it looks like it has something red in its stomach, like it has ingested something that is stuck there. Any thoughts?

Is it like a lump on one part of its body? Because if it is give the tank a good clean wait a few weeks and it should go down. The same thing happened to my neon tetras, and aparently its normal amd will happen from time ti time, after a while they just look like normal :good:

No, the redness looks internal almost like I can see what it has eaten if that makes sense. Maybe it has a build up of food it is struggling to pass.

Usually flake food but occasionally live food. Just looked today and the inflammation is still present. The fish seems unperturbed by it and is shoaling with the rest of the tetras. Guess I can only monitor and hope for the best. Water is fine and tests show zero ammonia and nitrites. Change it once a week about 40% each time.
