like tittle said I found out that the java moss i have has bits of xmas moss tangled in it, now I'm planning of separating this big bunch and putting each in two 1g tanks both with UGFs will they be ok?

also, xmas moss, any info on that? (exp: easy care, ect)

i guess it would be fine as long as there is at least a decent bulb above it and a dab of nutrients every now and then :D oh and shrimp to try and keep the moss clean and algae free (btw this is just for the java moss)

care for the xmas moss however i know nothing......

Christams Moss is something of a controversy. Some people believe it to be a different species, others a cultivar of Java Moss. Whatever, it's care and demands are the same. There are a few other "forms" of moss around as well, they show up from time to time.

They are not substrate rooted, so the ugf will not adversly affect them.
