Hey all, in my tank i have an interpet 'P2' filter, and i've bought the interpet 'P1' replacement carbon filters! It fits okay, just a little gap at the sides, same thickness. Will this affect the tank in a negative way? Help me please!

unless removing medications or tannins from wood etc then carbon is not a required item in the filter. so i would save some pennies and not bother with any. it is however always good to have a bit incase meds are used :good:

Nah, not a problem. As mattlee said, carbon is only really useful for removing chemicals such as excess meds from the water. I don'tfun carbon in my tanks. If you want to run it, that's your choice, and having slightly too small pads isn't going to be a problem.
