Ok, so what was going to be a 40gallon reef tank, turned out to be too much money for my pockets, so Im goin fish w/small polyps only. the ? I have is, what are some good recommended wrasses (prefer reef-safe) that can be community fish, look good, and can be in a 40 gallon tank.

here's the stock as of now:

2 percula clowns
1 sixline wrasse

2 emerald crabs
1 pom pom crab

variety of snails
several hermits

soon to come:
lawnmower blenny
lots, lots of hermits/snails (cleanup crew is on the low side)

let me know what has been good for you guys, and what would work with a stock like I have. Thanks

You can't add another wrasse now unless you want to risk the death of one of them. You can't combine fish of the same species, for the most part, unless you know that one is male and one is female. SH

If you wanted, you could catch the sixline and exchange him and add a couple different wrasses simultaneously. sixlines are very territorial and won't take kindly to new additions. As SH said, you cant add wrasses of the same species, but you can add wrasses of the same genus. You could add multiple cirhillabrous or parachillienus (not sure on those spellings) genus wrasses.
