Wrapped In Lead

I had some live plants that had strips of lead wrapped around the bottom to weigh them down. Would these lead strips have any detrimental effect on my Guppies or Assassins?

I don't know if it is actual lead. I take the strips off but I've heard of people who keep them wrapped around their bunches plants with no ill effects. Maybe someone can confirm if they are actually lead or not?

no i dont think that they are because i have had them on two of my plants for a long time and non of my fish have ever had problems since then if it was lead your plants would also be dead.
so NO IT IS NOT LEAD and it should be fine with your fish.

Lead is perfectly fine to secure your plants, will do no harm to your tank inhabitants (plants or fish)
