I've always seen it quoted as US gallons, which is 6 UK pints.

US definitely. I've used UK Gallons (and litres) in my recent PFK articles though becauce that's their format. 2.5 UK wpg is approx 2 US wpg.

Devide your letres by 3.8 = US gallons devide that by your Watts and you get your WPG US style.
