Wow, oh wow!

I'm the female half of Dylema And I'm just popping in here to say hi! Fish are all good and well but I do prefer plants over anything!
We are only new to the whole aquarium keeping thing but love it already
Quick question... can all aquatic plants pearl? This is something i'm keen to see happen in our tank...

I believe so,

Given the right light, fertilisers and CO2 you should be able to get most plants to pearl.

Hi there,

All my plants pearl at some point, even the Anubias sp. (slow growth-rate). Some will start after 1 hour, other after about 3 hours of lighting.

As smithrc pointed out you will good lighting, (probably) co2 and correct fertilisation (substrate and water), acheiveing the correct balance of these will get the plants photosynthesizing at a rate that they will produce visible oxygen bubbles.

Finding and maintaining the correct balance is another matter though!!
