Hi! ^^; My Mom is not letting me get a 20-gallon just YET; but I was thinking that maybe if I showed her that the stocking that I wanted would work then maybe she would reconsider....? ^^;

Well, ANYWAYS; here it is: :)

-3 mickey mouse platies
-5 neon tetras
-5 white cloud mountain minnows
-3 guppies

And, thens, would there still be space for more fish even afterwards?! Thanksies! ^^;

yeah that would be fine, you could up the neons and white clouds to 8 and add a group of 4-6 normal corydoras or 8 dwarf corydoras or 8 smaller aspidorus species

you could have that a neon gourami as a center piece fish and a shoal of 6 corys and a pair of apisto

-3 mickey mouse platies (2 female, 1 male)
-3 sunset platies (1 male, 2 female)
-10 neon tetras
-10 white cloud mountain minnows
-3 guppies (2 female, 1 male)

that would bet better you should have atleast 2f platys to every m

you will also have an over stocked tank within 2 months

what 1 fish wont make that much of a diffrence

1 fish is atleast an extra 30 fry

where do you plan on selling or giving away the fry? because youre better off just sticking to breeding one type of fish instead of two, how about 6 male platies and then 1 male and 2 female endlers? they give birth to less fry so there is less chance of your tank becoming overstocked

can a pair of apisto usually be put in a peaceful community tank? Aren't they cichilds?

One of the main issues with putting apistos in a community setup is you run the risk of loosing the apisto fry. Some Apistos are more teritorial than others, it's a matter of double checking the compatibility, but a pair of apistos in a community setup isn't beyond the realms of sanity.
