thinking of taking the playsand out of my tank as i just feel it makes the tank too cloudy as the flow from my filter keeps stirring it up(and yes i have tried everything to combat this, adjust the flow, the direction) would this sand be ok and would it be less likely to be blown around with the flow?

Yes but your still going to get some kicking up due to your filter. Id be looking at a different filter rather than sand or go gravel

It says coarse sand, so nok for corys. Just get a rounded grain sand but one that is not such small size as the play sand.

Unipac do a fine variant which would be a lot better but not ideal as its still quartz and therefore a little sharp. Playsand is what they really like. You need to be addressing the filter issue rather than trying to fix it by changing something to suit the filter IMO. A picture of your setup and details of the tank and filter would help people to suggest alternatives.

cloudy water suggests you didnt wash it properly before putting it in your tank,

looking for suggestions for new substrate for my tank that will suit corys, don't want play sand anymore.links would be most appreciated.

sand was washed very thoroughly,i think what bothers me is the sand over time is blowing away at the front of the tank!!!!

This is pretty much what happens with sand I'm afraid. It will get churned up and move around. Have you got all sand in your substrate? If you're losing a lot from one particular area it would suggest to me that you either need more or need to adjust your filter output so it's not directly on the particular spot causing problems. Do you have a spray bar? Have you tried adjusting it a bit?

just don't want playsand anymore, want something darker and a bit heavier but suitable for corys

Fair enough. You just need to avoid the coarse stuff as Corys don't like that.

I just bought the Unipac Fiji myself. Its not the perfect sand for corys though:
