When i maedicated my main tank for whitespot I noticed that on the bottle it said that it could harm scaleless fish and that it would kill snails and shrimps... I caught my 4 yamato shrimps, took out my golden apple snail and 2 assasin snails and also removed my kuhli loaches and put them all into mt smaller tank for the duration... it isnt the shrimp, nor the snail i'm worried about as they have tiny boiloads at their current sizes. its the fish...

would adding 2 kuhlis and a platy to the existing stock of my 48 litre cause too much trouble over a couplre of weeks? i think i have enough filtration as all of my filters are jam packed with media but i wanted a 2nd opinion to put my mind at ease...

there is one good thing though

it is 7 hours after putting the treatment in and i cannot see a single tadpole snail in my tank... WIN!

Not at all, if the tank is cycled. If you remember, when you first added your fish to a new tank, adding 2-3 fish at a time doesn't harm anything. Sure, bacteria have to mulitply faster, but they had to do that when you first added any fish
Just don't plan on keeping them in there for long, or else you might have another disaster on your hand! If your still a little worried, a little extra on your weekly water changes shouldn't be bad. Also, what medicine are you using for the ich treatment? When my tank had ick, I used Super Ick Cure by API and it doesn't harm shrimp or scaleless fish, but it does affect tetras, so you'd have to use half does. Hope your ich goes away fast! :good: I sure hope to god i never, ever, ever, ever, EVER get ich in my tank again, such a stressful and depressing time in my tank days  Almost lost my prized baby loaches :-(

Edit: Glad you got rid of your snails! :hey: That is a win!

How odd. A whitespot treatment that is no good for scaleless fish when one of the most prone fish for whitespot is the scaleless clown loach; I did think that Ich treatment was Ich treatment. Should my Botia's ever get whitespot I'll remember to check that particular contraindication. Thanks for that.

Cheers
