Hi all,looking for some advice,
While i am doing a fishless cycle in my tank,
as plants and light while cycling cause algae
would it be possible to attach xmas moss and java moss to slate, sumatra wood and rocks
and let it grow in a suitable container while my empty tank is cycling?
would i have to totally cover them with water?
would i have to feed them with supplements?
would i still have to add water conditioner?
if this is possible what other plants could i grow
this way ready to add to a cycled tank?
thanks and all help appreciated>

No answers,
so maybe a stupid question!

you only gave it an hour and a half! There's not always someone around to answer questions.

You could give it a try. Mosses can take along time to adapt to water conditions.

would i have to totally cover them with water?

Yes, it's an aquatic moss.

would i have to feed them with supplements?

no, i would just change the water regularly.

would i still have to add water conditioner?

no, the plant would use the minerals out of the water

if this is possible what other plants could i grow
this way ready to add to a cycled tank?

You could most probably get away with Java fers or Anubias this way, anything else i would probably wait until the tank is cycled.
