Would Like To Know

would like to know if you have a large piece of ocean rock, if you can break this to smaller pieces. New to cichlids but have had tropical fish before, but never had rock.

This is a great site and have read quite alot of your tips.

Should be fine, just whack it with a hammer. Do it outside, because it'll probably make a mess of dust and small fragments. Most of the rock they sell in stores has been broken down from larger sources anyway.

What kind of cichlids are you getting? Depending on what cichlids you have, the rock's effect on water chemistry might be exactly what you want or something you want to avoid.
