Hey guys just cleaned my tank then as im pouring the water back into my tank it displaced some gravel and the tank went abit dirty just wondering would that affect anything?( Runnin fluval 405). The tank is 4 ft and i own some natives nothing to big 5-10cm

Thanks guys hopefully its nothing bad!!

It can cause an ammonia spike: either pour the water in more gently or vacuum the gravel with a syphon.

You may see the water get cloudy from stirring up the substrate (the ammonia "spike" as mentioned above, particularly if your not gravel vaccing with a syphon). It should clear in a day or so if you do. other than that nothing really. Good to keep the substrate clean and even a stir every once in a while isnt harmful either, although as mentioned may make the water cloudy.
cheers

oddly, i stir up the substrate, on occasion, deliberately.

I've never seen any adverse effects. except the pleco poo get even longer!
