Sorry if you have heard this over and over again, but its my partners birthday soon and he has always wanted some gourami to go in his tank but has never gotten round to it. So I thought Id surprise him with some - but only if they can go in the tank obviously!

There are 4 guppies, 6 harlequin rasbora, 6 rosy tetra, 3 neons, 4 cories, 1 polka dot plec, 1 otto and 1 SAE.
Its a 35 gallon tank, planted.

Also we need some more female guppies in there as there is only 1 at the moment and dont think its fair on her to have 3 mad males after her all the time, dont want to get rid of her though as she was out first fish! We also need some more ottos.

Do you think maybe, 2 gouramis, 3 female guppies and 2/3 ottos would fit in or not?

Oh, and what gouramis would you recommend could go in there with these fish?

Thanks!

dwarf gouramis maybe , my sister has 4 in with platty and guppies and it seems to work out well along with her sae and pleco with no plms

I know he likes honey gourami, so could 2 go in there? Does it have to be male and female or can 2 males/2 females be ok together too? Or even just 1?

Also would I be able to fit these 2 gourami, 3 female guppies and 2/3 more ottos in there or would it be overstocked?

i keep 2 male honey gouramis in a 30 gallon tank with angels, female bettas, 15 various tetras and rasboras, cories and a bristlenose plec

i think you should be all right with 2 male honey gouramis (or male/female or 2 females) but the males look splendid when they get their full orange/honey color, the females are just gray

for sure get the otos and the female guppies as well
