Hi everyone,
I started my first tropical set up in March but started having problems recently (see my post in 'New to Hobby'- Mystery of disappearing fish!) Bought my lovely little red clawed crab with my first batch of fish. Fish started dying and vanishing overnight. Initially blamed it on my betta, as he was quite aggressive to begin with. He and most of our other fish had torn/missing fins.
Turns out it is the crab! I never thought it might be him until I actually witnessed it. After some intensive googling I found that he needs access to air, brackish water, etc, none of which we were told when we bought him. Worried he might be suffering!
Reluctant to re-stock until he is gone.
Anyone willing to offer him a proper home? (PS, also assume it is a boy, may be mistaken)
