Would A Juwel Rekord 600 Be Ok For A Pair Of Rams

hey guys/gals

ive been offered a tank cheap,a rekord 600 juwel,with stand,64L i think

would this be ok for a grow out tank for ram fry?

or even would it be ok for the pair of rams to be in there with the fry? space wise?

only for a certain time coz they'll get quiet too big for a 64litre when they reach about 3cm

only for a certain time coz they'll get quiet too big for a 64litre when they reach about 3cm

when they are bigger they can then go into the rio 400L, its only to protect them from getting eaten until there big enough

That would be a great size for a breeding pair Mark You can move the parents back to the main tank after a few weeks of the fry free swimming if you want to.

excellent,i will get it then.

will a fluval U2 filter be ok to run in the tank with small fry,or would it be best to use a sponge filter,i do have 1 lying around!!

i dont want the fry (if i get any,lol) getting sucked into anything. i no the rekord comes with a internal but i am affraid it will suck in anything small!!

U2 should be fine, just cover it in tights or netting so as not to suck the fry up, Ive got a eheim 2217 running on my breeding tank with netting over the intake and not a problem at all.
