Wots every 1s light watt not sure if i hav nuff.

ive got a 30" x 12" x 15" and light is a 18watt beauty light, is this enough ?

Enough for what? The fish won't care, but live plants will.

Wernt sure if the fish would mind, im planing to have quite a few plants (all different types) in my tank, what kind of wattage to they need, or like?

That's about 23 US gallons. I'm about to put 96 watts over my 20 gallon, if that means anything to you.

What types of plants are you going to be planting in the aquarium? You say you're putting quite a few in there, so I assume 18 watts won't be enough.

Another member is in the process of upgrading the lighting. Yeaulman has decided to go with 65 watts over a 20 gallon. The plants will love it!

i have 50 watts over my 25UK gallon which is planted with co2 aswell.

Where can i get a 50 watt bulb from, i went in my lfs, the highest they did was 20watt for the size i need which is 24"

I have 3 20 watt tubes over my ten gallon.. I dont think its going to be easy the get much better that 20 watts for a single 24" tube but you can add more tubes than one

I have 60watts in my 60US gallon (which is also 2ft deep) and I strangely have no problems with my many live plants. Not quite sure how that happened. I have 40watts in my 41US and 76watts in my 84US. All have plants and all of the plants are doing well as far as I am aware.

I have never really bothered with lights, maybe I should have with plants, but they are all doing really well so why bother?

mine are 2 25W tubes to make the 50W's.

I'm getting a 5ft tank ASAP but not sure if I'll bother planting that one like my 3ft as it will be so much more work and cost.
