at the moment i have a couple of large oscars,3tinfoils and a few othere fish in my rio 400. looking at changing for something more colorfull maybe. as it is the main feature of the living room. so looking at getting rid of current fish somehow. and starting fresh. i have thought of changing to marine but this will cost way to much.

open to any opinions??

thanks

Clown Loaches, and a large school of Congo Tetras...did I mention Clown Loaches????

Low light easy maintenance heavily planted tank with loads of bogwood and dark stones.

A stocking of lots of different species of colourful dwarf cichlids, chuck in some cherry shrimp and big shoals of tiny fish like ember tetras or celestial pearl danios. They would all breed and you'd have a lovely little ecosystem going.

Though if you like marine tanks and you want colourful fish, just go for a malawi tank.

10 Spotted snakeskin/wild Discus and plants for me with huge mopani roots overhanging,
Btw it's 60" x 20" x 20" (or something around the 20" mark  )

I was just looking at that too - didn't think it looked 2 foot wide.

The actual dimensions are - width 151cm, depth 51 cm, height 62 cm.

Ps - Personally I'd keep what you have got if you're not having any problems - you have some nice sized fish there. I like your sand & background, but would add a couple of larger rocks or bogwood & take all the other bits out.

All the best :good:
