Ok. What is the worst injury any of you guys has ever recieved from your little fishy friends?

I had a nasty suck from a snowball plec once. Little spotty git sucked right on the tip of my little finger and wouldn't let go. No physical damage, but you can feel where their teeth have been for hours after they unsuck.

He certainly did he thought it was mildy amusing until I started crying and having a bad reaction to it  :good:

I'm not sure if you know which fish I'm talking about but it's one of these;

They're a group of marine "rabbitfishes" The pic above isnt that great but it shows you the dorsal spines pretty accurately ;)

I literally placed my first net in the tank and as I put my second hand in the tank with the net to user it into the other one, the fish swam lightening quick up to my hand and sortof spun around and went back to where it came from, jabbing the back of my hand on the way :sly: little git!

When I had a loach tank several years ago, once one of the red tailed botias jumped out of the tank. I went to scoop him up by hand and he popped out his eye spine on me and sliced my palm with a 1" cut.

He was okay. Luckily a friend was there and got him back in the tank with a plastic cup. Those loaches still live in my friend's tank.

It wasn't a fish but when I first set up my tank I had a bristle worm land right between my fingers and leave about an inch long streach of stings, suckzors.

when i was remodeling my tank i stood on a chair (with weels) and fell backwords .... thank got that my bed was ther to chatch me !

do not try this ....

i also was bit by an huge oscar once...
lol

but in the end you learn your lessons...

(dont put hands inside an oscar tank )

(dont stand on a unstrerdy chair while remodeling ...)

hope you wil lear from my experiences
!!! :)

I once got sorta bit, well more sucked on by a red devil. It felt like a very weak vacuum against my palm.

I got nipped on the thumb by one of my red belly piranhas, quite painful. It probably need a few stitches but I just wrapped it up and it healed good :good:

Mine is probably the lamest ever, being bit by a Neon Tetra  but I heard about this guy who was stung by a lionfish whilst cleaning his tank out and nearly died.

It wasn't an injury, but I held the food and they got it from my hands. Only mollies, it feels cool when they bite your hands lol, just tickles really.

Neal :good:
