Tank size: 2.5 gallon
tank temp:78 degrees

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): no fishy symptoms. However I've see about three of these worm things. They are skinny white-ish clear colored or a reddish brown color, they squirm & wriggle, mostly on the bottom half of the tank. One got sucked up by the filter.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: daily water changes, about 1/3 to 1/2 total volume changed, relplaced with water from the community tank.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: no, only small filter with media from my clycled 30 gallon compunity tank.

Tank inhabitants: 7 danio fry (5 days old)

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): hornwort and java fern (floating) there was a small peice of heavy drift wood (mapani or something) it has been leaching tanens, I took that out last night after I saw the worms. I boiled it for an hour (changed the water three times). I'm not putting the drift wood back in the tank until this gets straightened out.

Exposure to chemicals: nope, its on my kitchen table

digital photo (include if possible): my digital camera wouldn't/couldn't get focused on one of these guys

MY Question & Worry Everything except the drift wood is the same in my 30 gallon tank. If I have to treat for parasites or worms do I treat both tanks? I did notice my three platys had stringy clear poo when I first got them two weeks ago but I haven't noticed anything since.
Feeding: I feed the fry three or four times a day frozen baby brine shrimp. I just scrape some of the brine shrimp from the little frozen block and put it in the tank. This is why I do daily water changes. The fish seem healthy perfering the frozen mushy brine shrimp to the live hatched baby brine shrimp I tried to feed them on Saturday.

Any help, comments, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Just feed less, they're not harmful.

Thank you for your response. They may be harmless BUT squirmy worms in my tank make me very squeamish. :/ :X I'll be giving the tank specifically the gravel a cleaning and feeding less. Again thanks, I'm very happy that the planaria are harmless. :D

The fry will likely snack on them. Not harmful andquitecommon in established tanks. Planaria are flat tho...have a look into tubifex worms if they are round. Also common and harmless
cheers
