I sold someone a lot of moss. There were some blackworms that I kept with a little bit of moss. I tried to wash them all out. Turns out the person I sold to is a wimpy girl. I never thought I would need to warn the person they might see a harmless worm. To me worms and yucky stuff is just a perk of fish keeping.

I am a mother and I have a 4 year old daughter. Worms and snakes do not freak me or my daughter out at all. Infact my daughter loves to feed the live black worms to the fish. She even asked for a pet snake. Kind of weird , I know but it makes me proud. I am Tom boy I used to dig up worms and feed them to chicken. So I am kind of weird. I also use to go fishing with my dad and used live bate.

My question . How many feel like worms and fish keeping just kind of go together. Even with fishing you have yucky bate. I am shock that I found such a wimpy fish keeping.

My fish loooove worms. Though perhaps I put too many worms in the water (I use a fork to extract them from their container), and some of the worms end up escaping into the substrate. One time I pulled two of my vals up and a giant ball of worms came up with it. At first I was pretty grossed out that it would happen, but I ended up using my hands to get the worms off the roots. Then in time I figured that the worms would really appreciate the plants absorbing their wastes and the plants would really appreciate the worms producing wastes.

Nothing worse than piercing a rag worm on a hook and it going all over your hands!

I do it for the fish, but I don't particularly like it.
