so, i went to the garden centre today for some fencing and thought id nip in for a new filter to WofW. but i cant resist looking at the fishes so i wondered into the tropical room and saw a few healthy looking fighters and then i looked closer. there was a fighter in a transport bag (approx 2" by 4") sealed, floating on the top of one of the tanks. this was particularly distressing as there had been no fish delivery today!!!! i asked the guy if he was aware of him and he said no and promptly opened the bag in a different tank. then i walked round a bit further and saw a dead betta on the bottom of a tank, and on closer inspection saw that the reason for its death was most likely that two males were housed in the same tank!!!!!

overall, fishwise, the shop was absolutely minging
dead fish in about 70% of tanks and staff who did actually look like they couldnt be bothered. i think this could have been due to shift pattern that day cos some of they guys in there are fine.
just needed to vent somewhere and i though you guys would like to know
