Working Out The Volume Of A Tank

I recently aquired a used tank which measures, 36"x12"x15".
How do you work out the volume of liquid that would be in there.... my maths sucks real bad.

It is 28 gallons and if the water level is 1 inch less, then it is 23 gallons. There are numerous aquarium calculators on the net. I am giving you the link for one: http/www.drhelm.com/aquarium/areajava.html

thankyou just what i was looking for.

On another note, anyone got any tips for removing limescale off the glass using things from around the house, as i cant get to the pet shop today and i am at a bit of a lose end so need something to do.
Dont want to be using any household cleaning agents as i was going to start cycling it tomorow with a bit of luck.
