YAY,

I finally placed an order for my new tank. It should be with me in about 5 weeks (I have delayed delivery to give me time to build a stand and hood).

I can't beleive that only 14 months after I re-set up my 35 gal tank I'll soon have a 150gallon tank. I think MTS is only being constrained by lack of space in the flat.

As a quick bit of advice, I mentioned this before but no-one really picked up on it. Mer Aquatics will soon be running an offer to sell all glass 72 x 24 x 24 aquariums for 149.99 in PFK. If you order before then (in the next week or so) you can get it for 124.99 basic like I did (I paid a total of 194.99 but that is with delivery, glass covers and having it drilled for my sump).

Another fantastic deal they do is the tank plus stand plus hood for £350.

But now I have to go and plan all the bits necessary to make the stand...

I'm transferring in the large of the fish I have in the 85 gallon (a small school of bala sharks, a school of Pictus a pleco and some possibly some butterflies).

They will be joined by 3 Black Ghost Knives (providing they co-habit nicely) and another catfish, probably of the dorididae family.

Meanwhile the smaller of the fish in there (neons, minnows, hatchets and a pair of ancistrus L numbers) will be removed to a new 45 gallon community setup with 12 gallon sump upstairs.
