WooHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!&#3

wow I have never seen one give birth to so many fry good luck with the fry. I keep my lfs up in mollie fry and feeder guppies. I cant stand to feed them to my other fish either.

yes, i totally agree that u shouldn't feed your frys to fishes, after all the fry u fed your other fish could turn out to be the most beautiful guppy you ever own! :-(

M8 good lcuk with them 67 was there 2 males and 1 female or 1 dad and 1 mum?

You expect the fry to look like a packet of twisties!!! :p

So cute....I gave up counting those in the picture at 10....

As for the momma guppy....I'd imagine I'd be yawning too if I was about to give birth to 67 babies!! :fun:

Good luck with the little ones.

PS....my platy gave birth today, I think she still is doing so as I type....shame I am not at home to watch.

Congrats on your platy fry chooklet, however saving fry is the most challenging thing in guppy breeding. And raising up is the most tiring part. Wait wait and WAIT.
Well, with 67 frys, i do have a problem, not every fry will get food to eat... guess i'll have to seperate in groups of 10?

hello, congrats on the fishies!

but the first thing that came to my mind is... how did u count them all ? and come to such an accurate conclusion

well, seriously, there is no way of counting them when they are swimming.
I got the number of frys as the guppy gave birth...and after that, i take photos from the top of the tank (like the one i posted) to count them again to confirm ;)
67 frys! Well, its really impossible to count them when they are moving...

We have our fry separated by 30's to 40's they seem to be doing fine and growing quite healthily and happily. The trick to getting them all food is to feed them small amounts wait for them to eat it all the feed em again, usually they all get some. If not having Java moss always helps they love to eat it.
