I got a Queen Arabesque just over a week ago and it looks awesome, just started coming out of it's shell a bit now. I had trouble getting it to eat for the first few days but it likes it's diet a bit meatier than bristlesnoses for example. Feed bloodworm/brineshrimp and try a prawn or 2.

I also have some tetra variety wafers, come in a yellow packet, and it seems to like the carnivore-type wafer (the orange one) of these.

Hope this helps, don't have a Magnum I'm afraid, tank not quite big enough!

We had a Magnum Pleco but sadly he died when our filter got clogged for a couple of hours. :-(
They are not the hardiest of Plecos unfortunately but they are beautiful.
Ours used to like algae wafers and loved cucumber. He was nocturnal and incredibly shy so we very rarely saw him in the daytime. He used to have his own little place under some bogwood at the back of the tank.
Make sure your tank has plenty of filtration and plenty of oxygen. We've got 2 filters running on our tank and a couple of airstones just to be on the safe side. ;)
This was our little guy:

ok im really struggling to find them both lol i suppose its because they are new and need some time to get used to their new environment, when i finally find them i will take some pictures, problem is my tank is heavily planted so it may take a while.

hopefully they will be less shy over the next few weeks

oh and yea ive herd about the queen arab being more carnivorous than omnivore which is ok because i regularly feed them bloodworm and brine shrimp. ive never tried prawns tho, are they just normal cooked prawns or something special which i will need to buy?

I just used somerfield frozen prawns, defrosted them in tank water which only takes a few minutes and plopped them into the tank!

I have started to see my QA a lot more over the last couple of days, even semi-coming out during the daytime, seems to have settled over the last 4 dasy or so, took about a week in total.

Congrats on your new plecs. I don't know anything about the magnum, but do have 2 Arabesques.

They do tend to take a while to settle down, so don't worry too much. Normally about a week before they feel secure enough to venture out. What other fish do you have in the tank with them?? To start off with, they don't do well competing for food, but as time passes, they become braver and eventually will challenge anyone who wants their meal.

Like ghent_3rd said, you can give them frozen prawn or shrimp for your local supermarket, but don't feed this too often. I normally only feed it every 10-14 days. It's very high in protein and you don't want to constipate them. Some do like veggies, one of mine do. So you could try some blanched courgette, cucumber or potato. If you start worrying about them not eating, place the food as close to the L260 as you can, without chasing them away. Eventually you place it further away till they're brave enough to venture out.

Good luck and look forward to some pics as soon as you're able to get a snap of them.

Carmen :D
