Woohoo! Fry Everywhere!

One of my guppies began dropping fry this morning. I've rescued 30 so far! So add that to the ten fry dropped a few weeks ago and the 20 or so molly fry dropped a few days ago, plus the four older guppy fry I have and the one molly fry and that adds up to . . . . wait for it . . . 65 FRY!!!!

And my guppy may not be finished yet! I only have a five gallon fry tank and I think I'm going to have to upgrade to at least a 10 gallon for the fry!!!!

But the little things are just so cute!

OOps, my daughter just called from the livingroom that she dropped another one . . . off to the rescue!!!

i have given away close to 100 mollie fries for the past 2 months or so.
exciting the first time.
just too much after that.

Wouldn't you know it? Last night one of my platy dropped fry! I rescued 20 . . . so now there 86 FRY!!! I've got to get a bigger tank!

I have one single platy in another five gallon tank. She's gravid and I'm expecting her to drop fry very soon. Once she does, I'll move her from that tank and then I can move some of the fry into the five gallon . . . that will relieve some of the overcrowding until I can get a bigger fry tank!

Yeah, I'm hoping to raise them to adulthood. My lfs will take the ones I don't keep. I'll be keeping a few molly females and guppy males, but the rest will go to the store.

Well I currently have 55 fry and am suspecting another guppy to give more soon. I have 18 guppie fry and 37 swordtail fry. I am moving them soon to a 10 gallon fry tank. They are currently in isolate boxes inside the main tank(10 gallons).

I found two more fry in my five gallon tank where the platy was. I'm not sure where they were hiding yesterday, but I'm glad to have found them there. So now the count is 88!
