Wood Coating

hello there i bought some wood from my lfs the other day (no idea what sort of wood) and rinsed it off and put it straight in my tank. I realised the tannins would turn my water a tea colour which i personally prefer. Anyway there is a thin white coating all over the wood like spiders web. Has anyone else had this if so is it a problem and what can i do to stop it? thanks in advance

i got that when i put my wood in, it went away on its own.
