Now I have figured out pictures (I hope), I was just wondering if anyone knows if this will fully heal on my rescued pleco. It was a lot worse when I first got him. The tear on his dorsal fin was almost down to his back, but the fins underneath were worse being red and sore. This is how it looks now...

Its not a great picture but the bottom part of his tail is torn and there in a kink in the top.

He is not the prettist pleco with his scars but I love him dearly.

erm the white thing is poop, he had a treat of potato, its always seems to come out white when they have spuds. Anyother time its brown, miles of it lol

lol. He will heal. If you want the healing process to speed up, you might want to try Melafix. It is a natural medicine you can get at your lfs. It isnt necesary for healing, just speeds it up.

I have had him 5 months now (and his friend) I treated with melafix for about 6 weeks (7 days water changes etc as per the directions) and this is how they healed.

yeah they will eventually mine does it now and then as he's only got one eye and a bit clumsey lol and the one i rescued last week is 13" and totally blind had its eyes pecked out by cichlids when very young
