Hello everyone.

I have a tank set up and running and will be adding fish as soon as the water conditions permit. Tank size is 36" x 12" (15" high).

My plan at the moment is - two herds of corys (five in each herd). A Synodontis Angelicus (Sp?) and then neons and maybe platys to give some colour. (To please the wife).

Some Java Fern will be planted (attached).

Would this combo work? I kept an Angelicus for many years (many years ago) and it was a placid peaceful fish. I read recently that the Angelicus can get a bit aggresive, is this true?

Best Regards

Alan

The Neons will need to have space reserved for ~6 months for the new tank to stabilise after cycling ;)

I have no real life experience with Synos, but SeriouslyFish suggests they need a bigger tank (a 4-footer) and they should not be housed with small fish...

Do your corys go "moo"?

Looks like the Angelicus is a "no" then - I will keep thinking/plotting. I don't really want the tetras either lol

Synodontis nigriventris would work they stay small. They need to be kept in groups but a group of 3-4 should work fine in a tank that size
