Hey all,

Ok, now I just got a Juwel rekord 70 Litres, it doesnt have the internal filter with it,

So I have a Eheim 2008 Internal Filter in my juwel 96 litre, just as an extra, just in case the stocking info is needed here it is

3 medium angels,
3 gold gourami's
3 neons
5 inch common plec
4 zebra danios

I put the eheim in just as i wasnt using it and thought that it would be good to have it as an extra in the tank, but now i want to use it in my rekord 70 , but this filter is reccomend for tanks up to 60 litres, does 10 litres make a difference ? and this eheim filter should be fully cycyled(been in juwel 96 for 3 months),

I want to put this filter in the 70 all new water,(conditoined, heated to same temp as 96) would the tank automatically be cycled ? If this is all fine i plan to put my 4 zebra danios in the 70 litres to keep the ammonia in the tank from their poop, Im gonna be getting a sponge filter for the 70 in a week so it can run alongside the eheim internal until its cycled, cause i want to use it to breed angels,

would taking the eheim internal out the 96 litre affect the juwel internal filter in it , i think it will be fine as it should take on the new waste that the eheim filter dealt with, it just that the fish have grown since the eheim internal was added so more poop is made,

all the questions may seem simple and dumb, but i just need to make sure and see what other people think , as i want to do things right !

any comment would be great

Thanks for any help you may give

Taking a used/cycled filter sponge and adding it to a another tank will quickly add beneficial bacteria to the new tank and cycle it alot quicker true. Also adding gravel and decor from the cycled tank works too as bacteria multiplies on roughly any surface. Really the only way to make sure your 70 litre is fully cycled is to do a water test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, etc. If you dont have the test kits yourself, you can usually pay a fish store to do for like $5.
The 10 litre difference matters on how much you stock up your 70. If it's lightly stocked, im sure you could get away with only the eheim. But if you plan to have it stocked to the max then i would consider upgrading or added something more.

Thanks for your reply ! With the stocking for my 96 litre , would taking the eheim out affect the juwel fixed filter ? Oh and does a tempreture difference in the tank matter when taking a filter out one abnd putting in another ?
