Fish Herder
In one of my 30 gallons I have a single pair of blue rams. I'm picking up a pair of peacock gudgeons today and my intentions were also to get 4-5 praecox rainbow fish. Well I have a pair of celebes halfbeaks and had them in a 54 litre tank. I found out that that is too small so I've had to move them into the 30 gallon. Apprently they should be in a 35-40 gallon tank and also I should really have 1-2 more females.
I dont know if anyone else on here keeps the celebes halfbeaks but I am wondering if keeping them in a pair will be ok or if I should get another 1-2 females? Also is the 30 gallon too small?
I'd also like to know if I did get another 1-2 females if I could still get 4-5 rainbows or if that would be too much?
Here's what my tank would look like:
4 celebes halfbeaks (surface dwellers)
4-5 praecox rainbows (top, middle dwellers)
pair of peacock gudegons (middle, bottom dwellers)
pair of blue rams (bottom dwellers)
Thanks
