Will These Fish Suit My Tank?

Hi there

Currently Running a Planted 200 Litre Community tanks and have a few additions in mind however I require some help as to whether or not to add these with my current set up.
Will be moving to 330 Litre soon as well.

Current Set Up
12 Neon Tetras
1 Large Baloon Molly
1 Sailfin Molly
2 Plecs
10 Leopard Danios
1 Elephant Nose
1 Female Guppy

WISH LIST

12 or so Tiger Barbs (I know they are prone to fin nipping but due to the numbers i require i am aware of research that says they will abandon this behaviour when suitably stocked?

Cherry Shrimp - (Not sure if they are suitable with the Plecs in there? Will be adding Java moss to the bogwood)

Blue Rams - How many would these be required to be happy, and would they work in this set up?

Dragon Goby - Would this work?

Red Bellied Newt - Think they may be a big no no

African Dwarf Frogs??? will they become someones dinner??

Siamese Fighter - 1 Male. Major issue here is id expect the fighter to attack my fancy tailed guppy due to similaritieS?

Not sure about the elephant nose and your stocking as I've never had one.
Shrimp would turn out to be frog food. I wouldn't mix a frog and fish, I know some do but IMO its not good.
The betta and guppies your right about too.
Increasing the number of tiger barbs does reduce fin nipping and the only really have internal fights.
Rams are good in a community apparently but I've only kept them in species tanks so I cannot confirm whether this is true.

A: OK Tiger barbs are (in my opinion) right out, with your peaceful occupants, they do become rathe rchunky little fish, and are too boistrous for your tank.

A: These peaceful little things would get harrassed, out competed and munched by most things in your tank, even the neons!

Blue Rams - How many would these be required to be happy, and would they work in this set up?

A: Rams might be OK, but as they like to stake a territory when breeding, it may result in conflicts with your elephant nose.

Dragon Goby - Would this work?

A: no, would be a struggle to feed it properly, and it would prefer different conditions than what a typical community setup has (would probably also munch your neons!)

Red Bellied Newt - Think they may be a big no no

A: you already know the answer

African Dwarf Frogs??? will they become someones dinner??

A: might be OK, could struggle for food, amd may get nipped by other fish, also, MAY gobble a small resting neon too...

A: its always risky introducing one, sometimes they get on fine, but most often they get stressed and either attack or get nipped by something else in the tank. Really, they seem to get on better and stay in better quality, alone.

But there are more peaceful barbs if you want them (banded barbs) which are much friendlier than tigers.

Gouramis would probably get along fine in your tank (pearl, honey or dwarf) if you want that kind of colour and movement...

Really sounds like you want a new tank though!

Blue Rams are a no I'm afraid, their requirements are vastly different to a lot of your other stock, Bolivian Rams would be fine however providing you have a sand substrate.

I would recommend against the tiger barbs... look into five banded barbs instead. Smaller fish, far less aggressive.

I would also recommend against the ADF with the neons. A while back someone had some neons disappearing from their tank, one of the culprits fingered (not proven, however) was that the ADF might have been munching. It's also possible that the ADF munched after the neon died, and it is equally possible that the ADF had nothing to do with it.
