Will These Fish Be Alright Together?

35 gallons is too small for a ghost knife or for clown loaches. And I imagine a ghost knife might eat the khuulies. A better idea would be a bigger school of khuulies; they become a lot more confident in schools of 4-5 and you will see more of them. If you do that, and get the bristlenose, you'll still have room for some top/middle-dwellers.

If you want to see the size clown loaches can get to, check out the thread on Basle zoo- brilliant pictures.

They'd go together fine if you upgrade to a tank around 5ft x 2ft x 2ft first.

Otherwise, go with Dwarf's plan.

I am well aware of how big clown loaches can grow. These ones are very small.

I did not know that ghost knifes could grow that large, however.

ghost knives can grow up to about 19 inches. clown loaches grow about an inch a year i think, so when they reach about 5-6 inches, you should transfer them to a bigger tank
