i have a 10g that i want to put my cuttings in but it just has a play sand substrate will the grow if i just stick them in the sand?
the plants are ludwigia, wastiria, amazon sword, star grass, and water sprite

Yes, plants will grow, and root quite well in play sand. I had a planted tank in play sand for several years, and for a low light tank, it was an excellent substrate.

I'm not saying they'll do as well as they would in your other tank since there's no nutrients in the sand, but there is nothing about sand that would prevent them from growing if everything else plants need was there.

it has good light,im going to put a DIY co2 coke bottle on it, theres no filter cause its just 1 betta but i do a water change every week so its all good
im glad they will grow now i wont have to trow the cuttings away every week lol
